Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

Why It’s easier to deal with computers than people!

If you are in the IT field, a programmer or server administrator the odds are you feel the same. No, it’s not because I’m anti-social or I don’t like people but because people are so fucking unstable.

Your code and server will always behave the same way unless something unusual happens (or unless you are running Windows). When it breaks, one look at the log files or by using a debugger and you will know what was the problem and how to fix it.

When dealing with people things are different! suddenly (true && true) may equal false! you don’t have a log file to look at, there is no debugger to use, no backup to restore and not even a restart button! you will have to guess why this person is behaving unusually or why he/she made that action or took this decision. Asking them doesn’t always work because they themselves may not have an answer!
